I've heard alot of good about Fallkniven...some of it is too good to be true. The U2 seems to get alot of attention and I can't blame them for the quality of it. I've never handled one and will be getting one in the mail from knifeworks.com...and I"m wondering: Is it really as sharp as it is claimed to be? I've seen a video on youtube where it whittles hair...should it be that sharp when I get it?. I am also wondering: Will the blade stain? Will it rust? Will cutting fruits with it put a patina on the blade? and is "Super Gold Powder Steel" a stainless steel?

U2 is great little knife, light and sharp, good choice for introduction in Fallkniven family.
So far it is sharpest out of box knife i ever handled but i didn't tried to whittle the hair, laminated blade is,SGPS core steel and 420J2 outer layers(both are stainless steel) ,and i haven't experienced patina on it.(two years now)but it will take scratches as 420J2 is soft steel.

Very sharp!
Great little knife.
Very comfortable in hand and pocket, and it doesn't scare the people!
I've seen no staining or patina on mine.

I have the U2 and it's an awesome little blade. It's so light and incredibly sharp. I was skeptical of the hair whittling video too, but I tried it for myself. It performed as advertised. It whittled the hair effortless. The U2 had the sharpest out of the box edge of any knife I've had.

Good purchase!!

I love my little U2! It's the perfect watch pocket knife. Mine came really sharp. I haven't noticed any rust or staining on the blade either (and I use it for food quite often).

I think you'll be pleased with your purchase.
