Getting a GB from TAD..

I was notified earlier today that a GB is on it's way to me. I was utterly surprised because I forgot that I had inquired about it about six months ago. I remembered placing the order. It was about the first time I was about to purchase my first Strider. After purchasing several peices including an AR to this date, I had no idea my name was still in the TAD database. I will receive it anyway but contemplating on whether or not I should keep it or give it to some poor fella who's been waiting for a GB longer than I have. Before anything else, I'll have to photograph it first. I may fall in love with it who knows. Nothing is certain yet.

More later.

I saw your GB today at the shop, I think you will like it! It does have the newer thumb stud though.

Shelby,

Let me know if you might be willing to part with your GB. I'd be interested in picking it up from you.

Thanks,
David

Shelby,

I know that your AR has the smaller studs. Here is a picture of the one that I believe is on the GB. A little bigger and single-sided:

Uh oh Shelby.

Looks like you're getting attached to the GB before it even arrives. ;) Looks like you may have to add it to your collection. It is a nice looking knife!

Sidewinder,

Thanks for the heads up:)

Oni,

Tell me about it, my friend. I'm 50/50 on it so far. But a hair more of wowness can lead me to keeping it. But then, I'm thinking of all the lads out there who are desperately seeking this knife. As you know, I am very very happy with my AR. I think I'll keep my GB if it keeps me up on the first night as did my AR. Well see:)

1whobuys,

You're better off getting the 707 at an authorized dealer because:

The cheap internet prices of the 707 usually have an international warranty on it so if anything goes wrong, you're screwed. Also, I've seen 707s as low as $620.00 That just can't be right. I've spoken to my friend who works at B&H photo and he tells me some of those are grey market and some may even be refurbished or have misaligned heads by a few digits. Hardly noticable but it's not right in anyone's book. I payed $910 for mine at J&R music world here in nyc and their price is the full grand. You can talk them down a bit or call me if you come to nyc and we'll go get the 707 for the same price. Honestly, I worry about the super low prices on the internet.
Re: Busse folder. That thing gave me a stomach ache. Looks like a medieval torture weapon
