First of all Merry Christmas to you all!

...now on to the questions. I am wondering about the handle on one of my knives, in thes case the Natural Outlaw. It is thicker than the handle on both my BM and SH. Is it possible to sand it down a little myself? Also, why does the material change color after I have been holding it for a little while... does sweat get absorbed into the handle material or did I get the limited edition hippie mood handle variant. All three of my larger knives have the tan handle material with gray lines in it... very good looking.

The oil in your sweat will darken the micarta. I normally oil the entire knife down including the micarta the more oil the darker it will get. To get it light once again use a washcloth and very hot tap watter and a mild dish soap and just wash the knife.

If you want you can sand the micarta. I'd use a 180 grit then 300 use it like your polishing a pair of shoes I think that's how they do it at the shop. Just remember better to take off not enough than to much:D

Thanks Raden... yeah the handle doesn't need a lot taken off, just a little rounding of the edges...

So using oil.. how dark will a tan handle get? any pics?

Cheers!

Here's a pic of My BM with oiled tan slabs:D
