I noticed high end hard to sell. So started booking restaurants, chefs and people to allow them to compare all side by side increasing sales 1,000 percent but manufacturers won’t look at the figures any ideas.

Hmmm…
I’ll take a crack at this:
You noticed that some expensive chef knives weren’t selling. You had the idea to market these knives directly to chefs/restaurants by allowing them to test the product head-to-head against their current knives, in order to increase sales by approximately 1000%.
The only problem is that multiple knife manufacturers have declined your business opportunity (they won’t give you any free knives to take around).

Is that it? If so then maybe consider starting a different way. If you have the knack to chat about/demonstrate things, perhaps start a Youtube channel and just buy a knife from the company you like and start filming.

Good luck.

Today, everyone wants to be a YouTube or Instagram influencer.

It wouldn’t surprise me if every knife, watch, make up, bicycle, gym equipment, hat, tool, soap, or widget manufacturer is hit up for free samples 1000 percent more than they were ten years ago.

I work for a paint company and get hit up for free stuff more than ever. It used to be guys with race cars only looking for sponsorship. Now everyone wants to do me a favor by using free paint.

REviews :

A) There was a HUGE backlash against sponsor links for some reason ?
B) People expect / want = Good Reviews .. Truth be damned !
C) Some products have poor quality control , the sample you test might be ok , but then a whole bunch might not be .. So you end up looking like ..........................
D) Some people are sent product to review and never do a review !

I remember a group of people being sent batteries to test / review .. Was it like 6 individuals were sent batteries to test . And only one person actually posted a review ( Yeah - Me ! ) .
These days , I think companies or people who send product out for review .. I think they want the review to be configured more like a TV commercial rather than some fact finding mission .
That reminds me , I still have some batteries to test and a battery charger to review .....
