Getting a sword heat treated?

Can anybody reccomend someone to do a HT on a Carbon steel 26" blade?

what happened to the custom-makers i used to read about? the randalls and the bagwells and the morans?

also, can't you get in touch with the ABS?

i'm kinda interested in knife- and sword-making but only theoretically.

You might go over to Swordforums (http://www.swordforum.com/) and post to Angus Trim. He's doing business with a heat treater for blades as long as 37".

have you ever tried carburizing your own steel using a charcoal forge?

Dahong,
I always use High carbon steel, I find it to be about the same price and works exceptionaly well for blades.
