Getting a ZT again

I just made a deal that included a 0550 gen 2 with a rival scale. I will be honest, it wasn't my first choice. A about a year ago, I had a gen 1 0550 and got rid of it because it was just a bit too bulky. However, it was a fair deal and if I still don't like it, I am sure one of you fine folks could help me find it a good home:) I know that it will still be as bulky as I remembered it, I just wonder if I will appreciate it more this time around. Time will tell I guess. My question is for those that have had both generations, what is your preference? Are the small tweaks to the gen 2 noticeable in real world use? Thanks all.
 
Honestly I personally prefer gen 1's over the 2's. The lockbar cutout really doesn't matter to me. I havent felt a difference in detent or lockbar release. And lastly I like the original clip on these better than the deep carry. I have a 056x and both I have had to replace due to not being as sturdy. I wish the deep carry clips were like the ones on the cryo and zt 0780. Hope that helps!
 
Thanks for the heads up about the pocket clips bad_juju. That is the first I heard of this so perhaps it is a matter of personal preference. We will see in a few days I guess.
 
Have the older 0550 and Gen2 0561. I like both for the features each offer. I have had no issues with the new clip and I carry it regularly. I love the looks of the 0561. Very cool. The action is second to none on mine. As to the new vs old 0550 I would not hestitate to trade mine for a Gen2.
