Getting an O&W dive watch...

I am getting an M6 diver from Howard Marx at WestCoastTime and having it modified with a sapphire crystal (no date magnifire) and saber hands, and of course with a couple of aftermarket straps--his specialty. It will still take a little while to get it all together, but it will be worth the wait, as this will be my first (and probably only) Swiss Auto watch.

So "yeah!" for me! :rolleyes: :D
 
Congrats on getting a Blackwater.

Yeah, I saw that Bill Yao does custom stuff with the O & W.
But I found that :

1. He charges a lot and takes a long time, (but he's good, I know..)
2. He doesn't answer my emails and questions (but he's busy, sure)
3. I like the O & W M6 dial the way it is--just wanted new hands....

I had fun playing with the preview feature on the Blackwater. It gave me an idea of what I wanted...
 
Yes, Bill's busy because he's so good. I wouldn't say he charges a lot.

He does answer emails, but may take a few days to do it.

I've bought a modded 007 Seiko from him and have a Quad10 on order.

The wait's half the fun!
 
I guess I am just impatient. I will post again when I get an answer to my emails...:cool:

I think he is at about a four-month turnaround right now--at least that is what someone else told me....
 
No M Seriers here, but I did buy an O&W 2824-2 military watch from Howard. Great watch and Howard is a good guy to do business with. :thumbup:
