Getting chip out of grind - newbie question

Hello, I am fairly new to the knife collecting game and was able to stumble upon a CRKT Foresight for $10 at a swap meet. I have a Lansky sharpener and was able to remove most of the small chips in the grind with the extra coarse stone. I still am not able to get one chip out near the tip so I was looking for suggestions on how to handle this. I was not sure if I need to get a diamond sharpening stone to grind the metal more aggressively or whether there was another technique I might not be aware of that may help.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

One method... you can raise the angle as high as it will go and grind the damage out. (You still have to work the whole blade, otherwise you'll end up uneven). Once the damage is gone, you can then lower the angle and resharpen it.

Or, if the rest of the blade is sharp and useable, just use and resharpen over time, and gradually work out the damage.

Another method is to use a large coarse stone and grind the edge flat. With the blade 90 degrees to the stone you saw the knife back and forth until the damage is removed. You will have a very flat edge at this point and I like to start with the method described by cbwx34, it brings the center back to the edge quickly and allows you to keep the bevels even as you grind to the desired angle.

ACE, Home Depot, Lowe's, etc. all sell simple oil stones that are great for grinding and rough work, inexpensive too.

Another option is to continue what you have done with Lansky's coarsest stone around that area up to the tip, until the rest of the edge is as deep as the chip. A lot of patience is needed though. It'll bring back the tip about 1-2mm. Imagine a curve starting somewhere at the belly, going up just flush to the chip & end up at the tip. Adjust the curve to blend the overall belly. Then go to work.

If it's Foresight as shown on CRKT, there should be enough handle to cover the tip when closed. Otherwise you'll need also to bring down the tip, but it seems not necessarily from the posted pics.

I fixed the chipped D2 using high angle like what cbwx34 mentioned and it shortened the tip about 1cm (the chip was deeper and lower, near the belly).
