Hopefully Over This Upcoming Long Weekend, I Should Have My 1st
Blade Ht'd And Another Ground And Ready To Ht. Once I Have The
Blades Finish Sanded And Ready For Handles, What Do I Use To Seal
The Scales With? 1st Knife Will Have Purpleheart Scales W/ Mosaic
Pins And The 2nd Knife Will Have Kingwood W/ Mosaic Pins.

purple heart will have natural oils in it. I just rub it down with mineral oil or teak oil and thats it. It will darken over time but thats the fun part to me :)

When You Finish Out With Mineral Or TEAK Oil, Can You Buff To
A Glossy Finish Or Leave Like It Is? IF YOU CAN BUFF, WHAT ROUGE?

On those hard, oily woods I finish sand to 400g and then buff with pink "no scratch" rouge. The teak oil is good, just put it on until it won't soak any more up. Some of these woods won't take any more oil. No problem, just one of the reasons they make good handle material.
