Getting drunk tonight

thoughts and prayers going out to you and yours.
There is nothing worse than seeing a loved one or child sick or in the hospital.
I hope all turns out OK.

You are right though, life has a hell of a way of beating one down sometimes, and when it happens, the licks keep on coming. That is how my 2018 was, full of lifes BS.
It gets better, it has to.

Just dont go putting yourself in the hospital now ya hear. :p

Bob. So sorry bro you and your family are going through so much. I’m sure all of us would like to take a little of that struggle away so things would be better. Prayers and thoughts with you brother. If you ever need to bend an ear bro. Give me a call. Hope you don’t have a hangover. o_O

Hope life will take a turn in a more positive direction for you soon, Bob. Hang in there....

Bobby, I have no idea what you are going through and won’t pretend to say the worst words - “I understand how you feel.”

But I will say I’m so sorry for what you are dealing with. It certainly seems like you have the weight of the world on your shoulders and I hate it. If I could change things for you, I would in a heartbeat.

As a minister I must default to quoting scripture, Philippians 4: 6, 7- “Do not be anxious over anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God; and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your mental powers, by means of Christ Jesus.”

In other words, prayer and supplication does not change reality, but can change YOU to face reality with courage and emotional stability. I hope the best for you brother and am happy to talk if you need someone to vent to. I hope your boy makes it out ok.

Smoke raised, Bob. Hang in there, man. It seems like many of us keeping getting kicked while we're down. 2018 repeatedly kicked me in the nuts, and 2019 isn't looking any better for me yet.

As long as everyone is in a safe place, sometimes you owe it to yourself to take a time out and hit the F$%k it button. A little mental timeout to reset.

Hey Bob,

I am sorry to hear about all the difficulties happening in your life recently. Sometimes life's trials pile up in a short period of time. I can relate to what you are feeling a little. In the last twelve months, I have been in the hospital four times and voluntarily left a good paying career to stay at home to care for my elderly in-laws who have battled cancer. Definitely a challenging year, but I have too much to do and be thankful for to let it get me down. Life is good.

I pray that your son heals up quickly and gets back to 100%. Have confidence that new jobs will come soon for you and your wife. Stay safe and be well as these trials pass one by one. You will come out stronger after overcoming these events. I wish you and yours all the best.

Phil

Bob, just saw this verse at the end of of someone's posting, they have it like a signature line. Look at John 16:33. I was posting in the Fiddleback forum and it just meant a lot to me to be reminded of who is by me every step of the day. Hope this helps you and your family, we are thinking of you.
