just thought i'd let ya all know im eloping(sp) today. the wedding started to turn into a giant hassle. so we said city hall sounds good, and cheaper.

ps: oh ya im gonna wear my customized mach-1 from bandit, and i'd feel bad about leaving my 98 satin out of the loop so maybe i'll tuck it away somewhere too:D

I think I'm tending to the same thing dude!! Turning out to be a big hassle too :p

Been with the same girl 10 yrs, engaged for the last 18 months. Looks like we gonna get hitched this year....she'll planning it right Now!!! :( :D

Great choice. I wish Mrs. Odie and I would have eloped. Everyone will plan the wedding but those who are getting married. One tip: No knives in bed. Best wishes to you.

its amazing all the crap thats involved in the whole event. we decided to save the money and buy a house. i live in the bay area and every peny counts for that kind of stuff.
10 years, your overdue. your lucky shes still giving you a choice. im about 6 feet tall almost 300 pounds( down from 330 and getting lower) been practicing martial arts for 10 + years. and she's about 5'6 125 lbs and sets me straight real fast. damb things are just funny.

thought about that court thing, the traffic courts have metal detectors, but this is city hall. we'll find out. i'll let ya know how it goes.

Hey congratulations. I just got married last Oct, and
had my commander in front right pocket. Got to agree with
you about hassles and unwanted opinions. In our case, I
never knew Martha Stewart had so many Chinese half sisters.;)
I swear some of these "traditions" (all contradictory of course)
were made up by these women on the spot!

I live in the Bay Area too...got married last May. Boy oh boy do I wish my wife and I had eloped. We had an amazing wedding, but it was expensive. I would have most of the knives I want now, and then some, if we had just eloped. My parents and hers actually gave us the option of getting eloped. They said they'd give us the money for the wedding to use as a downpayment. Being young, and just thinking of the whole ceremony, we decided to go ahead with the wedding. I live in a small town on the coast, and my wife and I have been walking around town...passing the same house that's for sale...that we can't afford...and can't help but kick yourself a bit.

So I say good for you! Save the money, use some of it on a nice vacation/honeymoon...

And congrats!

Seriously, after we shacked up, people started to ask us when we were going to get married. Minutes after our wedding, they started to ask us when we were going to have kids. Our reply "Oh, right now, we are just practicing..." :cool:
