Just got the shipping info, the Basic 11 should be here Thursday, can't wait. The more I look into this knife, the more I'm convinced I made the right choice. I wanted a blade between 10-12 inches that could chop well, but still be light enough in the hand for other tasks as well as defensive purposes. I can't wait to see if the INFI steel lives up to the hype, from my research, it should.
Got it today, the edge wasn't as sharp as I was expecting, I used my Spyderco Sharpmaker and it will now shave hair off my arm. Here's a pic with my other knife :
Initial impressions are that it's VERY comfortable in the hand, has serious blade weight, but at the same time is light enough for other tasks as well as a defensive weapon, it's pretty much what I was expecting. My one serious complaint however, is that Jerry isn't making these anymore and he must rectify this problem A.S.A.P.!
Let me put it to you like this, if I found myself in HELL, and the only thing I could use was a knife to make it back, this would be the knife I would pick.
A small update, cut down 5 trees like this one, cleaned the blade off only to find the coating still looking like new and the edge could still slice paper, simply amazing!
Busse Basic 11, no frills, no bullshit, just pure, ass-whooping INFI power that few knives can match, let alone beat.
