Awesome! Amy plans for it user, collector?

Congrats on a great knife, can't wait for the pics. I scored a desert tan bk7 about 6 years ago, haven't seen to many of them.

If it is an actual 1941-1945 production knife that has never been used you have yourself a hell of a score. Pics plz

Nice score. I'm glad it is going to someone who appreciates it.

Do post pics when you can.

Date authorized

First shipment by Camillus in February 1943, 50K units, screw-on pommel w/ slotted nut.

Most people don't realize that the 1219C2/USN MK2 was only made from Dec 1942 until August, 1945. Shortly after V-J Day, all outstanding contracts for all military knives and bayonets were canceled.

Thanks but one thing though how come the one im getting is a all black knife with a leather sheath and white box.And all the other ones im seeing have a knife with a brown wooden handel but has evering thing i have is it a fake??

I don't think the handles are wood. I think they're stacked leather. Post pics and we should be able to help you out with identification, and drool over the knife with you!

I'll make sure to post pics when i get it and then we can drool over it lol. Oh ok i though it was wood thanks!!

Here is the ka-bar just got it if photos don't come up just let me know and can some 1 ID it to see if it is real and thanks!!

That is not a WW2 vintage Kabar brand 1219C2.

That is a Kabar model 1217, a reproduction of the WW2 1219C2. First reproduction by Kabar was around 1976. This one was most likely made during the 80s or 90s. possibly into the 0Xs. I forget when they changed from that box to the white printing on black box. The outside of the box is a print of the original specification drawings, hence the 1219C2 on the box. The handle is not black, but simply a very dark brown stacked leather handle.
