I'm just sick lately. I have misplaced or someone has helped themselves to a few nice blades in my collection lately and I find that I am naked. I have the following that have grown legs somehow:
Benchmade: 806D2, 710, 705, 556
Emerson Mach One
Syderco Dodo
My collection is pretty thin these days. I can't believe that I just lost 6 blades so besides finding out who took them, I am in need of an EDC, that won't scare the hell out of the sheeple. I want a folder with a solid lock that I can buy at a street price of around $75. I can't aford to keep having someone walk around with nice blades in their pocket. I suspect one or more of my kids friends, but no one is allowed in the house at this point.
Now to the matter of a replacement. I'm down to carrying a Microtech Kestral made is 1999 and I would rather put it in the safe and carry something else. Not that it has great value, but I still don't want to donate it, if you know what I mean.
Open to all suggestions. Looking for a solid locking decent steel and can forget about flash at this price point. I just can't carry a $30 blade in my pocket, it's a matter of principal.
Thanks for your help.
Rick
