Im getting excited about getting my stands out and hoping to punch a good deer with my bow again this year. This year im getting some real world practice in. Its only 10' high at the house but its an angled shot none the less.

Also - Deers are different than dots on a bag so Im practicing both. The deer target for placement and the bag for form as its easier to just get bow out and shoot.

Looks like some good arrow placement on you target. Oh, and that's a very nice kooking knife you have there!

A bit early to think deer for me, still have fishing and honkers and ducks to think about before deer. But we've been shooting our bow at 3D since Feb tho.

Is that a new bow B? I'm really liking it and think I need to replace my 10 yr old PSE this upcoming Season. Had been putting a lot of cash back until we had to replace the engine in my wife's Jeep Liberty... :grumpy:

Yeah. I scrounged together some funds, sold an ACOG scope and spoiled myself! Well worth it. My plan was to have this bow FOR 10 years :)

Is that a Carbon Matrix? How's she shoot??? Those are sweet looking bows... but I've never had the pleasure of shooting one. I'm going to keep scrounging together $$ so hopefully I'll be able to pick up a decent new/used bow before Deer Season comes around and the prices go back up. :)

It's a Carbon Element. Shoot awesome!! Light and doesn't get cold like the other aloy risers. It's high dolla but make ya holla when you shoot :)

Awesome pics. Good on you for doing some realistic practice. Are you doing variable ranges too?

Last yeah both deer I shot and shot at were 15 yards and in. Just too brushy to get a shot much farther. I shoot on the ground 20-30-50 yards for fun.

shew puppy! thats a nicin' you have came a long ways since you started bow hunting. very impressive. good work. and ill take that orange knife thanks for the chance. #28 hehe..

Those Hoyt bows are really nice. My buddy has one just like that. Thats good practice shooting in a stand like that.

I like the orange handle knife. It looks like a nice hunting and skinning knife.

Cool. I never understood why you guys hide in trees though :D

I do all my hunting from the ground, but a lot of people use stands...

That is a nice lookin bow. Hoyt makes nice equipment. I'll still be shootin my Mathews Switchback this year. I can't wait for the season to get here
