Boy, I haven't been to a show since Blade (Atlanta, GA) and I can't wait for Friday. I've always liked the Ohio show and I know Larry is putting together something great...even though he's sticking me next to Ray again. ;) :p

I can't wait to see everyone, old freinds and new.

Here are a couple new things I just got back from Chuck Ward Photography that I'll be taking to the show. The bowie is one I just finished recently and the drop point is the first collaboration done by myself and Ray Smith (RLS) that's being picked up at the show.

Can't wait to see what everyone else has come up with...any previews?

Those are both outstanding knives. I really like the skull crusher (more like a skull penetrator) on the bowie.

J., beautiful knives!

Larry called me too and asked me to piggyback on your thread and show what photos I could of what I'm bringing. Since I can't post photos, here's a link with a three of the knives I'm taking with me to the Ohio Show.

The show is only 5 hours drive from my house, and it looks like it will be a nice show, without all the craziness of the big shows. I'm looking forward to going and seeing everyone. Drive safe.

I can only attend one day, and my inclination is to go Friday. It runs Fri. and Sat., so please recommend which day would be better for me to go and why. For the most part, I'll just be looking around, but I'll probably end up with something.

The laminated fighter is very nice, and the laminate interesting for sure, but the camp knife makes my heart go pitty pat.

That hamon is friggin' fantastic.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Burt, that camp knife hamon shows a RIDICULOUS amount of control! That's insane. I wish I could do that!!!

Those are beuatiful Burt...of course, I always love your knives. The Moran HI was the first time I'd seen your work "in-hand" and I can't wait to see 'em at the show. Taking pictures and packing today.

WM-I'd guess Friday since some folks have to be at work, it'll probably be a bit more casual. Plus you'll get to see things that might be sold by Saturday. Just a thought.

Love the blades J!!!!

Burt -- your page isn't pulling up for me.

Thanks Mike, I just sold the bowie this morning but, I'm planning to bring it along anyway.

Burts page took awhile to load for me but, they're worth the wait.
;)

J., your stag bowie is something special. :)

Burt, that camp knife is really the shiznits.

I see 'me now -- awesome hamon on that camp knife!!!!

J. you rascal!

Just kidding... full-time means fully in need of getting paid! ;) I'm not surprised you sold it already, great looking knife!

I have gone back and looked at Master Burt's camp knife many times now. I don't know how many people noticed... but look at not only how cool the hamon is at a quick glance, but how consistant it is with precise patterning.

I'm thinking that I either hate Burt, or he is my hero!!! Okay, 50% of each! :D

Nico,

You flatter, and with my unstable self image, it fuels the manic episodes.:) The crash will occur soon when I see your next knife and want to end it all...:( The highs and lows of knifemaking. Sounds like a depressing article for a knife mag.

Very nice knives guys. That s-guard bowie is most cool J. Burt, I just love that little integral - and that camp knife is off the charts.

Thank you, Sir! I'll be seeing you Friday then, unless I get any differing opinions.

J. two great knives. But I know you'll have more at the show. Plus one j's will be given away in the special guest club drawing. Burt thanks for the eye candy, but I want to touch. I will. we'll have a fun show, I promise.

By the time I found this thread the show is half over. J. those knives are drop dead gorgeous! The big Bowie is a masterpiece, really!!!

Hope you did well.

Sean

Thanks Sean, I appreciate that.

I've gotta thanks Larry, I had a great time this weekend. The folks were great and for a show that has bounced around a bit, the turn out was better than I expected. Sold knives, bought supplies and got tips and input from some of the best makers around...how can you go wrong there.

Thanks again Larry, look forward to next year.
