Recently we spent quite a bit of time in the shop getting ready for a show. The show was our local rodeo held every year here in Tehachapi. Thought I'd share some of the work we did to get ready so we'd have stock to sell.
WaterBuffalo belt lined in 4/5 oz belt latigo.
Roughout Spur Straps stitched with contrasting red thread.
Made up several Boot Sheaths. This one is pictured with my own knife in it.
Made up 30 knives and sheaths. This was another one of my crazy "pushs" to get em done. Started post heat treat grinding on these blades Fri morning. Didn't work Sat and Sun as we had out of town company. Finished the knives and started the sheaths, finishing them Thurs morning. Thurs evening was the first night of the show. My buddy says I'm like that guy from Greek mythology, always pushing the rock uphill.
One of my Coyote models with filework and East Indian Rosewood.
Other side of the house and Nichole is getting ready too.
She was also making these "Hangers" for bosals or hacakmores (the braided noseband), out of water buffalo.
Bunch of her Card Wallets.
One of her Boot Top stitched purses.
Had several different types of holsters built up. Here is one of my Rangeflap holsters.
Ya know after a week of 12-16 hour days getting ready. Ya kind of want to be like Sophie and just jump in the water trough and chase the goldfish! At the ranch with our friends Ty and Cara and their submarine dog Sophie.
Thanks for looking and questions and comments are welcome.
