I have a pro-tech tr3 manual and it has a good amount of nicks or scratches on the handle. It is titanium and they aren't chips, I was considering taking some steel wool to it but I wanted another opinion on it. Any tips on getting these out?

A lot of guys go with a scotchbrite finish on titanium. Do a search and you will have a heap of info. Russ

What kind of finish does the titanium have? If its got a brushed finish scotchbrite or those rubber rust eraser blocks work well.

If you could post a photo of what kind of scratches you're dealing with it would be a big help.

How exactly do you post a picture? Sorry i haven't done this a lot all it offers is for me to put a jpeg or something and i have an image on my computer

what kind of coating does it have ? if its just a polished finish you could stone wash it so it looks even or if its a black type coating you cold duracoat it or just scrape the rest of the finish off

oh i see, OK well you could yous a small spinning nail buffer which ive seen at walmart for a few dollars

That looks like a bead blast finish. (your pic doesn't work)

So you can either get it bead blasted, change to a satin finish with scotchbright or just live with it. Knives that get used get scratched. It adds character.

Best way I've found to post pictures on forums is to upload the photos to photobucket and then copy and paste the img code.

I could be wrong but I don't think there's much you can do to remove scratches from a bead blasted finish other then having the whole handle refinished.
