Does anyone out there in the vast BF community have any good tips, or know any good books/videos/resources for someone starting out? I know next to nothing about throwing blades and have always wanted to learn. Now I've got the time, so it's time to get it going! Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Click here for a channel of mine I have two tutorials on throwing.

Also, clicking here will give you a good youtuber

As far as books, I know Gil Hibben has written one, but I can't comment on the quality, as I haven't read it; however, his knives are nice quality, so I assume he knows a thing or two.

Lastly, This is a playlist you can thumb through of some good throwing

Great videos, brother, thanks for all the info! What is your recommendation as far as actual knives?

I vote whetstone set of three. $10 and good to start. Garbage steel but throw well and lasted me a year.

Yeah, if you're not completely sure whether you're going to be into throwing, there's no problem getting a cheap set. Budk has some stuff you might be interested in. Some won't last, but you'll get a feel for it.

For sure! Hopefully will be getting some throwing knives at the end of the week, I'll be sure to let y'all know how it goes!

wow... nobody mention
COMBAT KNIFE THROWING
by Ralph Thorn he created this over 20 years
it changed my mind about knife throwing. It's very effective and I think he has a book too but I just have the video.
I'm assuming it's the same thing.
Also Houzan Suzuki has good videos on youtube about Bo shuriken and no spin knife throwing as well.
Those two are the best IMO. I think Ralph Thorn still posts on here too check out his posts. eRalphthorn goodluck
