I've allways been into knives and thought that it was time to register here on bladeforums!
So to my topic: I live in Sweden, and the swedes is generally scared of knives, so I'm looking for an innocent looking light use edc knife.
I've been looking at the small Victorinox blades Classic SD, manager and so on. But I thougt that the blade on the smaller victorinox blades felt very weak. I've also been looking at the gerber eab (and the eab lite) and thought that it would fit my needs pretty well. What do you think? Is the eab any good?

I'm happy to hear any suggestions that would fit my needs.
I'm happy to hear suggestions of multitools (preferably small size) with a decent blade aswell!

Welcome to blade forums!

A good ol case knife or any tranditional would be a good choice. Very sheeple friendly.

I would personally avoid those utility blades as EDC. I personally find razor blades to be more dangerous to use with how thin/fragile they are (especially the break away blades), a lot of them don't have a good lockup and aren't the safest thing in the world to replace the blades with how a lot of them are designed. From a quick glance at the Gerber EAB I don't see anything about it I like and would consider using it as an EDC for, there are a lot better options out there.

I find the smaller swiss army knives (SAK) blades to feel weak as well, my advice go with a larger size SAK and it will fix that problem. You can also pick up some slipjoint knives especially traditionals as they are seen as less intimidating (well in the US anyway, SAK's, traditions, multi-tools are things that aren't seen as much of a threat).

But is there any laws your trying to follow or particular blade size/style so we know what to recommend. As right now for small multi-tools I am thinking a full size SAK and if you want smaller something like a leatherman Micra as they have a pretty sturdy blade on them, haven't used the blade on mine more than a few times as I usually carry something larger as well but it has performed well for what it is every time I had to use it and it hasn't been sharpened yet.

Victorinox Compact, most all the tools you'll use in a nice "compact" package.

Something like a Spyderco Delica or Byrd Meadowlark 2 is nice for a small single blade knife.

Leatherman Micra, or Leatherman Squirt PS4 are nice keyring multi-tools, but I'd look for something larger like a Wingman for real work.

Thanks for your replys! The knife laws in sweden is merely based on every mans common sense. If the knife has an obvious reason to be in your pocket, then nobody will care. But the knife-horror going on in sweden is more of a concern than the law itself. Hehe..
Isn't the leathermans small multitools chizel grind?
