With the new zytel scales on the way from Tomars, I need to get my 14 ready for it's new dress shirt. So I stripped my Eskabar tonight and threw on a quick patina. It turned out ok. The only place I could do the strip was outside for proper ventilation and it was a little cold so it didn't strip super easy, but I ended up liking how it looked with some coating left on the handle, so I just tried to make sure I got as much as possible off of the blade. This was my first time and was mostly just a learning experience for me, an experiment.
Here it is getting stripped. Used Klean Strip Paste.
Close to the end of sanding.
First I threw it in between lime slices with some sriracha on the blade.
Everyone stops for a mid-patina sandwich, right?
Then into Worcestershire sauce soaked paper towel with mustard.
Almost done for the night.
