Woohoo! Getting the new grinder tomorrow guys and Im stoked. I just ordered some small wheels and glass platen for it today but I will be busy setting it up anyway. Ill get some pics up of it sometime tomorrow night.

All of that. Over time a metal platen will get worn and from grinding in the same place. The glass offers flatness for much longer. You will eventually have to replace both metal or glass but its much cheaper to replace the glass and they last longer.

If glass is good,I wonder about ceramic.
Do they make them outta' ceramic?

Never mind,ceramic glass.Just saw 'em at USAKMS.

I hope you do a WIP setting that bad boy up! I've just about have all my parts needed to put mine together. Looking forward to being able to use 2x72 belts and some Mo Power!
 
I got it today and its set up ready to go. I already ground out three knives! This thing is a beast. Best flat grinds Ive ever done.
