IMG_0746.JPG How do we go about fixing the black clips? Spyderco keeps putting the wrong clips on these :^) so I have to repair them with some 200 -> 2000 grit sandpaper and a buffing wheel. I get them to look as such but how to I remove the rest that's left in the logo and the white stuff? Should I start with 91% alcohol, acetone, everclear? Yes it's scratched when photoed under this macro setting but it looks nice and shiny to the naked eye when worn/used.

I use 1000 grit wet/dry sandpaper. I like how the spyder is left black. I would think you could use a brass bristled or nylon bristled brush that comes with dremel kits to get in the crevices.

A member on the Spydie forum suggested an acetone soak, and then probably a bit of elbow grease. I haven't tried, yet.

I simply bought a $5 can of paint stripper at Home Depot. I spray it on black painted clips and after about 10 minutes I can wipe off the paint. I do this to all of my black painted clips unless they are the coated ones from Golden that are for the Manix and Para's. I can't get whatever is on those clips off......nor do I want to. They rock.
