This thread was inspired & started, from Blues' sticky thread in the Trad. sub forum

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=753015

It occurred to me,reading Tom's congress thread, besides knowing our names(the fact we should),we here all have in common, the fact, that there are more people (friends) here gathering together that share our knife nut affliction, than in our everyday walk of life outside of here. So for any reason, please, never feel as if no one will not read a sincere & relative post or thread, however it may be relevant,or not.

Here's Tom's thread,a good story written finely & a good read,too.

Well...a bit about me...

First I am into my fifties now, been a strange trip I must say. I am a veteran, have been a rodeo cowboy, competitive shooter, firearms instructor among other things. Currently I am mostly retired.

I have shot in world championships in Action Pistol and Trap, and have shot in many other forms of shooting sports. I have jumped out of airplanes, rappelled out of Hueys, ridden rough stock and team roped. I used to spelunk (too fat now...lol...and too inflexible), enjoy fishing and hiking, camping as well. Used to own horses and my daughter still does. I have lived all over the US and in Europe. I have skied the Swiss Alps and eaten off the street carts in Mexico. Been a good life so far.

Me then and now...not real sure what happened!

Not much to say. Just joined a little while ago. Found the forum while looking into my local, county and state laws wrt knives.

I also like dogs, particularly dobermans, though it seems the real dobermans are mostly gone now except for the few breeders purposely producing working dogs.

I used to do pet visitation therapy with my last doberman. We worked 12 to 15 hours a month visiting nursing homes, children, hospitals, etc. I don't have a dog that's suitable now, so have not been doing it for over a year.

My only other big interest is politics. I'm not of it, so to speak, but in it like the rest of us, and I'm worried. These are days when no one should be ignorant of what's going on.

Anyway, I'm not young, getting old, but not elderly.
