Hello All, I just wanted to share a bit with you about a design I made up that is being built by GTC Knives and will be at the 2009 Blade Show. I don't know how many of you have heard of GTC Knives??? Gustavo T. Cecchini of Brazil is a SELF TAUGHT Custom Knifemaker, that's had some of his work in different knife magazines ...the most recent was a test of his "Prisma" design in the March issue of Blade Magazine. He's a Very Talented Knifemaker and does amazing work with SS .

Gus and I have been discussing a design for approximately a year now. When I told him that I would be at this year's Blade Show, he surprised me and told me He Would Be Building My Design and It Would Be At The Blade Show  :D.

We would just like some Feedback from you Knifepros. All is WELCOME ;). The pic is a 3D CAD Drawing (courtesy of spydo) from my original design. I'M NOT TRYING TO PROMOTE ANYTHING, SO PLEASE DON'T TAKE IT AS SUCH ...JUST LIKE SOME FEEDBACK IS ALL. I figure the only to find out is to let the Knifebros Look At It:o. I just wanted to share. Take Good Care All and Be Safe Always.

God Bless :)

Would it be a framelock? Looks really slick.

What are the specs? Blade length? Steel?

Hey Charlie Mike, Here's the original drawing before the 3D redraw. Steel for testing purposes is 440C. A different blade steel is yet to be determined for the final design. We're taking suggestions for Blade Steel ;). Take Good Care and Be Safe Always.

God Bless :)

Hey ROOK I'm very familiar with Gus's knives and you couldn't have picked a better custom maker than him. His machining skills are crazy which make his Prisma and Plasma both very unique and beautiful designs. I'd love to own one of each. Can't wait to see some pics of your new folder

Hey Knifesis, Great To See Ya Here ;). I Kinda Figured You'd Definately Have One of Gus' Knives :D:thumbup:. He does some AMAZING WORK!!! I can't wait to hold this design in Atlanta.

I like the "Prisma" you own there. CF inserts ...Sweeeeeet !!! Take Care and Be Safe Always Sis.

God Bless :)

That is a sharp looking knife Rav...er...Rook. :)

That looks like an ideal duty carry. Partial reverse tanto with a strong tip would be equally at home safely cutting seatbelts or clothes. Looks like a 'glass breaker' pommel too. What's not to like?

You may want to consider N690Co as a blade steel. Just a thought.

I was going to say what was already said, then the Pics posted. LOOKS WONDERFUL!!! Frame Lock with G10, CF or any kind of Inserts. Great TIP DESIGN. Looks Slick in a good way!!

Thanks For The Advice On The Blade Steel ;).

Yes, the back of the handle is designed to be an impact tool/glass breaker and it can also be used as a Striking Tool/Kubotan. The blade will have a grind that will leave the tip a bit thicker ...Not to worry about it breaking during heavy use or penetrating heavy material. Also, the blade will be around 3.5 mm to 4mm thick. Again, this knife is to be durable for LEO/First Responder Use. BTW, My REAL Nickname Is "RAVEN" (half Cherokee) and my username on some other knife forums ;).

Take Good Care and Be Safe Always.

Hi Hammerhead7050, Thank You For The Kind Words ;). Frame-Lock, but the HANDLE is 100% SS. It will have "jimping" in specific areas for added grip and grip manipulations. This design is not ONLY for LEO/First Responder Use ...Also for SD Use. Take Good Care and Be Safe Always.

God Bless :)
