Some time ago I've received an email from a Colorado's LEO asking me to build a design from him, well, I've CADed it's mechanism and build it. This is the presentation (LEO's words) and my pics of it:

The GFORCE is designed with the LEO and 1st Responder in mind (EMT/Paramedic, Firefighter). It's well built to handle the heavy uses required while in the field and during emergecies. The handle is designed to be used during an emergency and has a built in window punch combined with the already very durable stainless steel construction. The ergnomic handle also has "jimping" in specific areas to allow extra grip. The blade is thicker on the spine to allow for heavy cutting tasks and moderate prying if need be. The tip of the blade is specifically ground thicker to penetrate heavy material when necessary.

Thanks for your visit!

That's a great design and execution! I'm curious what the specs are?

Another great looking folder.....I'm sure it will perform as intended.

OUTSTANDING !!:thumbup::thumbup:
And of course I want one
Me too. Can you give us some specs. blade size, etc.? It looks like the backspacer goes down near the pivot. Is this some kind of assisted opener or auto ? I like the new style clip.

Thanks Robb
The specs are one post above yours. No, it is not an assisted or auto, the backspacer does goes down, but just to stop the blade closed.

Ya, I REALLY want one of those too. I would like it with a 3 inch blade though.

I realize the reasons for the design applications but it is way too nice to break through a window.

Hello All, I had no idea that Gus was a member over here ;)... Nice to see ya Bro. Gus and I have been discussing this project for a little over a year now. Like eveyone here has already stated ...HE DOES SOME AMAZING WORK !!!

To give a bit of background about the design, Like mentioned I'm a LEO/Defensive Tactics/SD Instructor and a Tactical Team Member. Basically I got tired of breaking knives while in the field and during assignments. I came across Gus' work and bought one of His Prisma designs. I had him make a few modifications to the Prisma and was so impressed with it, I decided to contact him about a design I had already been working on. I sent the sketch to him and after many emails .... well, here ya have it .

LEOs/1st responders carry enough gear as it is. I always find myself rummaging through my cargo pockets looking for what I need. I wanted this design to be very durable and functional, but not complicated to use.

The handle has built in window punch, but it will also do double duty as a Impact/Striking Tool during a SD situation. I had Gus put jimping in specific areas to add grip during grip manipulation ...going from a forward grip to a reverse grip/hammer fist without losing control.

I asked Gus if he would use steel for the blade to be a bit thicker. I wanted this design to be used for moderate prying. We've all had our share of bent and broken blades/tips. I asked Gus to make the blade with a thicker tip so it can be used to penetrat heavy material if necessary ...no more worry about tip breakage.

I felt it needed to be a bit more compact in design for easier carry. Short, stout, durable, easy to carry. The one characteristic that will concern some ...is the weight. I wanted it made with some heft to it. This will aid when used to punch out windows in an emergency. I wanted those who handle this design to have confidence in what they're using. I just wanted the folks that are in the middle when SHTF to have something reliable ...give us an advantage once in a while ;).

I can't wait to get this back home and start testing it in the field :D. This is just a PROTOTYPE ...may have to make some modifications. We'll know more after testing it.

I turned to Gus to build it and new he could pull it off ...His Work Pretty Much Says It All. He is ONE HELL OF A PERSON!!! The GFORCE WILL BE AT THE BLADE SHOW ...If you're in the area, stop by and take a peek. I attached a pic of the sketch that started this. Take Good Care All and Be Safe Always.

God Bless :)
