In another life this was a horribly beat up scrapyard dumpster mutt with a badly damaged edge and broken tip. I gave it some new life tonight, my friend will be happy.

I have to get some good pictures of it tomorrow before I give it back and it gets inserted into a sheath and used. My little workshop doesn't offer the best lighting or backdrops.

Don't mind the grinding swarf near the handles, didn't even think to clean up the knife before taking pictures. I'll get some good ones tomorrow. This thing can CUT.

You did a great job of bringing a knife back from the dead

That's the reason I like buying used knives...they're cheaper and may be bruised up, but can be brought back to life with a little elbow grease. Nice job on the Mutt .

Added some outdoor pics to the top post.

I'm going after a finish similar to Bans Frosty finish, not sure if i'm achieving that or not having never owned one of his knives, but they always look so amazing in pictures.

Awesome work 230, you are very skilled at the strip and convexing. I am sure your buddy will be a happy man, and thanks for sharing the pics.
