Hey guys,

so ill make this short...

I saw some ranger bands i had laying around, i remembered the bike tire with a hole in it that was in the garage(road bike tire) so i cut off a few peices and it was too small to do anything with, until i saw my naked izula on my desk...and sure enough, it worked!

Kinda looks weird, but its functional i guess...and its very comfy! and i think ranger bands aid in fire starting? if so then it would good to have!

thanks for looking and sorry about the crappy pics:D

Would you care to post pics or a description of how you made that work?

I prolly cant do pics cause im too lazy to redo it all, but i will try to describe how i did it..

First i cut a piece longer than needed for the izulas handle...i pulled it up to where the normal cord wrap or scales would end and then trimmed the excess off of the end.

Next, at i put about 4 small peices over the front of the wrap, the part of the wrap closest to the edge...

Then i put some more larger pieces over the whole thing until the whole handle had a second layer...

I then did the third layer more uniform and put the front of a piece of tube over the end of the one before it, so it would look better and have a bit of texture to it...

For the last one i put the back of the piece of the next to last piece of tube over the front of the last piece of tube and then trimmed the excess around the end of the handle...so it has three layers of tubing over the handle.

Hope all of that made sense...im sure you can get much more creative than me with it:)

If that's not a prison yard shank, I don't know what is!!! I bet it has some pretty great grip though. Also is you need to start a fire then your good to go, pull 1-2 off and light them up.

Cool Idea .
how's it feel in hand using ?
I forsee a blister inbound.....

i havent used it super hard for anything with the ghetto handle on it but its very comfy and i dont think i would get any blisters from extended use...but ive been wrong before;)
