Ghetto Wave Caly 3 ZDP

Is there any easy way to wave the caly 3?I've tried it with a zip tie 15 different ways and 3 different sizes but i can't do it. This is the only knife i can't get to ghetto wave! Anybody do it?
 
No, I have not.

I'm having trouble picturing it.
Do you have pics of any knives you have Ghetto waved?
 
All I did was put a zip tie through the hole so the zip ties block sticks out to catch my pocket. My thinking is that the hole is either too far back on the blade and near the pivot enough that it doesnt open fully or it just doesn't catch my pocket enough. I dunno.
 
Did you try putting a big one on the tip side of the hole, and a small one backing it up? Have to do that on my Tasman as the tie keeps sliding back on the draw.

Plus 1 on this. Or put two big ones so the rearward one locks the forward one in place.
 
I found that the "ghetto wave" works best on my Endura. I've tried it on my Persistence and Delica but I don't like it as much as the Endura. It seems that the Persistence's G10 handles are hindering the draw and therefore slowing down the wave action.
