Cu...as in copper.

Blade is made from W1, and has a right hand chisel grind. The edge measures in at 1-5/8" long and the OAL of the knife is 5-1/2".

Acid etched to bring out the hamon which shows ashi lines on the back.

Handles are copper with red liners assembled with epoxy and copper pins.

Bought some copper...gotta use it up.

I'm thinkin' about putting a couple of 3/8" holes in the handle (between the pins)...maybe put some aluminum tubing in there...I don't know, whatcha think?

Hangin in there. Gotta get a new platen for my grinder. Holdin the works up. Mine's got a big low spot, leaving all my grinds with a "smiley face" and leaving me with a not so smiley face. Norm Coote has the new glass platens. Definitely going to be going in that direction.
