very rare (only one in existence) ZT-NO ghost w/snakecarta.

this one started life with some of the rough grind marks they are known for. after finding a late model that was ground perfectly i sent this one back to the maker and had it all cleaned up then the new nutron bead blast fired into it out of busse's new nuclear accelerator. it is my ZT user now carried in a tan rowe cow skin.

thought i would post it cause i'm bored sh%tless.

Tearing room apart searching for the hidden microphones that recorded me saying that i wanted to do that to mine...;)

yeh, i think it's the best too. looks nice wipes up clean and after it gets beat to hard you can do a lite once over with some glass beads at about 40psi and you got a new knife. beads won't hurt the micarta either.

Very nice.
Skunk, do you think that the bead blast is an improvement over the satin finish? How do they compare in your opinion?

imho i believe it is the best. i am anal about the looks of my knives even though they are tools. the satin finish scratches just by looking at it, kydex is a killer. the double cut bead finish makes the steel harder and slicker than satin. first the finish is shot with media like silica sand or oxide. this cuts and removes all the tiniest grind marks. then the glass beads are used and they have a peening effect, smoothing the steel and sealing it. my glass beaded knives are slicker to the touch and seem to hold oil better.

i have refinished some of my satin knives and it takes hours and days to hand rub the finish and restore the look that comes from the factory. with beads i just use a small home glass beader (about 80 bucks) and shoot silica at 100psi then 60-120 seive glass beads at 30 or 40psi, i leave the micarta on and shoot it too.

i got my bead blaster from a company called "graingers" they sell the beads too. get the silica at a lumber yard. i use my beader for everything. i bead the top straps of my smiths with glass. clean rust off of things. i even glass beaded a picture on a piece of glass once. mask what you don't want shot with regular masking tape.

wear a painters mask and goggles,

be careful... you'll shoot your eye out!

or send it back to jerry, he will fix you up with the factory job.

wow, that was long huh?

Nice knife, but.....wheres the sheath dude!? I know you can use a camera my good buddie, so how about it?

and by the way, I thought I was in your will?

Jerry doesn't even have the folder out yet and already he's replacing eyes?

Very nice! Did you get the ghost effect by blasting the blade (thus dulling the logo)?

How did you blast the glass without breaking it?

yes it was blasted after logo. it had the regular tan scales and rough grinds on the handle flats. busse removed the handles satin finished the flats then beaded the whole thing. i had the camo handles installed instead of the tan. whaalaa! worlds only ghosted, camoed zt-no.
you guys should make some more like it!:D
as for the glass, thats how they etch pictures on mirrors, drinking glasses etc.
