First, hello all! Second, since I just joined, I don't have the option of the search function until I pay for it I guess, so apologies in advance if this has been asked before.

I have the opportunity to pick up a Ghostmaker Tactical Lynx: Attack Cat
Prototype #1. I'm not real familiar with Brad Fairell or Ghostmaker Tactical. The price is certainly right. How collectible is he?

Anyway, any information would be appreciated. Again, sorry if this has been asked a million times before.

Jim

The lynx attack cat is
a model 1 frame with a
hawkbill blade.
It gets its name from
the short bobbed tail
intended for
pummeling, and the
catlike arched back
spine which adds to
it's already secure
grip. A tactical
nightmare for anyone
on the receiving end.
Camo, blasted or
hand rub. Two tone
also available. ID
sheath friendly

Wow...just wow.

Wow...just wow.

What he said.

Without speaking to the quality of it... I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it has very little if any re-sale value.

From a pure design stand point, I'd like to see any specifications on it.

The spine SEEMS useless.

That site reminds me of those knock off radios people sell out of their trucks... They have 'real' websites suggesting the MSRP is way higher than the $30.00 they cost to make...

Where are you getting it from?

How much do they want for it?

It could be made of very good components, it might be well put together, but it's Internet description has come straight out of the 2008 Tactical Ninja handbook, there's no way of telling.

Typically, those that sell in this form, are appealing to a select group of people, these people arent collectors.

I thought the same thing about the description :). I didn't know anything about the company or their knives.

My EDC is a Reeve Lg Sebenza that I like very well.

I looked through some of the blades and could only find one that listed any of the materials used. The one I found had a Titanium frame and a CPM S30V blade., good materials but i would think a maker using quality materials such as these would list them with every knife.

I personally wouldn't buy or trade for any knife from anyone without knowing at least the material used for the blade., but thats just me.

From what I was told Brad worked with Darrell Ralph for some time.

Not a fan of many of his designs , but his workmanship appears solid.

I've seen his work go up in the knifemaker's for sale : folders area. His work is actually not bad from the comments I read and his work should be of good quality. Pretty nice guy to speak to actually.

Actually I kinda care for his designs. There is a use and place for most designs and he seems to be incorporating a lot of innovative new designs (from his website).

How much is the trade value approximately? IMHO this is not too bad an item to trade for and something I would like to own. Perhaps if you had a chance at handling it first? Good luck in your trade.
