GI Tanto mod?

I made this photoshop version of a GI tanto mod that I want to do but i'm not sure if it'll work.

I used an existing image and edited to what I like. In the image I shorted it and curved the blade the best I could.

The hardest part will be drilling new holes in the tang. You might need carbide bits for that.

I did this in addition to stripping it and forcing a patina, it works. Looks great also
