Oooooooo, baby!

Just a leeeeeetle lighter, and a little less pointy (could be the angle of the photos) than Ereshkigal.

If someone wants an "Armageddon Ready" blade, this is it!

what a beautiful blade even though I already own one i have to fight off the idea of emailing for this one

My 20 inch CAK is my favorite large blade that i own when holding it the word "knife" just doesn't sound right - my friends that have seen mine all say the same thing when it is removed from the sheath i always hear " holy s*%# "

Tis' a monster! I could have sworn we had someone asking for one of these a short while back. She's a real looker, but way out of my weight class. I must say though, that 46 ounces seems quite reasonable for a 20" CAK. If you can handle this beast, it should do everything asked of it quite nicely. Be safe.

I am torn here, because I think that I want a custom M43, and then I will rescale the handle in Micarta.

This CAK is a monster though, and I cant make up my mind which I would prefer.
Normally it would have been sharked before I could even think about it, but now I am mulling it over.

Anyone have any thoughts ?

I am 5'9" about 180 lbs and pretty fit, but a 3 pound knife might wear me out on a proper hike/camp.

I'll go out on a limb and say the monster CAK may be a bit much for you. I have a few pounds and about 5 inches on you and I would not want to lug that beast down a long trail. For the trail, my 25ish ounce WWII is perfect, and it's only perfect because I don't have a 20 oz. WWII! My 36 oz. B-43 (chiruwa Bhojpuri) is almost overboard for my arms, and certainly won't see any hiking trails with me. This CAK is a monster and would be awesome to own, but it is in the "Heavy" category IMHO. Your mileage may vary. Good luck in your search, and remember, don't fret the first one too much, many will follow. Take care.

You have to be a pretty big guy to heft one around all day.

I could also swear someone was asking for just this.

That Chiruwa AK looks awesome!! If you are in good shape, don't let the weight scare you. Buy it, use it and if you don't get used to the weight, sell or trade it to another Khukri Nut. I'm 6'5" tall but only 175 pounds. Packing my 42oz ASTK isn't a problem with the right belt or if it's on/in my pack. It's a little heavy for me to swing all day, so I'm planning to build up my muscles so that I can use it all day if need be. Swinging the big ones is good exersize. ;)

Heber's got a point. What better way to build khukri handling strength than handling a khuk! Besides, you wouldn't be the first member to buy a khuk just because it was cool:D Just be CAREFUL! An accident with a 20" CAK doesn't mean a cut. It might mean an amputation! Good luck.

Amflud, I can't imagine you'll ever regret the purchase. I see you are a fellow Texan. You passed the authentic Texan test: you correctly spelled "y'all"! What part of the Great State do you call home?
