Hi folks- :)

There's a story behind this, but let's just say it was a long time in the making, and almost didn't see the light of day. Another one I can thank Angi for persuading me to finish.

Blade- Ginormous--- 1084/15N20 random-ish pattern about 11-1/2" long and 2-1/8" wide at the widest point
Guard- 416 ss
Handle- Stabilized Maidou burl.... one of my very favorite woods!!! :)

Thanks for looking :)

Yowza!! That looks awesome Nick. You're right about that burl, really sweet looking stuff.

Awesome bowie, Nick. And I do love that handle. Get that Maidou Burl from AKS? Going to have to check into that...

Wow, We need bigger photos! I for one am glad you listened to Angi she was right

Nick, that is one elegant BEAST of a knife! Maidou burl is something I don't think I've ever seen before. From end to end that piece is a complete knockout, but what really grabs my eye and won't let go is that awesome steel! I'm going to drive myself crazy trying to figure out how you made that. Would it be cool if I drop you a quick email to pick your brain a bit on this one? Just awesome work, man. Congrats!

ANOTHER awesome knife Nick! That burl is VERY cool and the lines on the knife are excellent.

Nick.....that wood has acne! I'll bet if you rubbed it down with Proactiv, it would clear up overnight.....at least that's what the commercials claim. :p

Just kidding pal! That's a killer piece! YOU DA MAN!!

Very nice! It's easy to get caught up in intricate patterns when a simple random like this is just as attractive as any other. I've not used the Maidou burl. It reminds me a lot of Thuya.

Nice job all around. (love the long clip of the blade)

Thanks for posting.
