I've given up on Spyderco producing anything in M390/20CV/204P for the next year or two. They are hopelessly stuck on S30V and rust-bucket (sorry I meant patina prone) steels like 52100. :p

I'm looking closely at the Giant Mouse Biblio in M390. Does anyone have any experience with this brand or model? Are they good quality, solid knives?

I can just say what I've experienced, I know some people have had worse experiences.

I've got the Biblio in natural canvas micarta, and I've used it a lot.
Flipping action is good, ergos are great(with the exception of the small choil), it cuts well, and the clip is great.
I have similar experiences with the Iona and the Nimbus.

Is it the best knife for the money? Probably not, but it is pretty good.

I love the Biblio. I think it compares very favorably to a Para3. I’ve owned examples in the green canvas micarta and CF. I’d heartily recommend either.

The m390 blade is ground very thin behind the edge, and has performed very well in my examples.

I've owned two Biblios in green micarta. The first had a bad case of lock stick that likely would've cleared up with use but I wound up trading it away. The second is pretty much perfect and the knife hits above its size with a good heft to it and a nice wide blade. It doesn't fly open like many newer flippers and sometimes I wonder if it's going to fully deploy but so far it hasn't failed to open and lock in place it just takes its time doing it. I've gunked mine up a few times and it disassembles and cleans up easily as well.

Preparing to review one as I speak. Can echo earlier sentiments. This one is a well built sample, sent by an owner, not the manufacturer (ie, not cherry picked QC). Very impressed.

I just picked up the green micarta, and I am pretty impressed. I own the GM1 and GM2 so I had a-lot of expectations. I was not let down.

I owned one. I sold it because it's a flipper that wouldn't consistently flip 100% open (at least that was my experience). Good size, quality materials, nice clip. But, at that price point, it didn't perform to my expectations. YMMV.

I just got one in the mail today and I love it. I was on the fence because of its size but the ergos are great! I have XL hands and find the grip very comfortable. Flipping action on mine was so so until I tuned it. As Halden said the blade is nicely ground and thin behind the edge making it a great slicer. I’ve not experienced any lock stick with my knife at all and the fit and finish is beautiful. Here are some size comparison pictures with an EZC and a small Sebenza.

This thing is beautifully palm filling, with a great blade. Would absolutely use this as a blue collar, extended use knife.

It’s a very stout liner lock. For a knife of this size, it’s a perfectly good locking mechanism.
