Not exactly what I was hoping for. What are your thoughts? Kinda seems like a non-flipper GM3/Sonoma in a lot of ways. If this was super slim in overall width I'd be a little more interested, but it looks like it will likely be similar to the GM3 handle width. They do have a video on instagram as well, showing one handed opening using a thumb on the nail nick.

I like the Navaja inspired look but I’d need to check the size and weight. Not a very “friendly” knife to whip out at the office to execute...erm...peel an apple:p.

Is the black blade their Pirate version?

Yes, the black is the Pirate version. I edited the post to include the specs from GM.

I'm a fan of their knives and the lineage is readily apparent in this design. Resembles the Viper Belone, a Vox design, and the Ace Sonoma (for which I'm patiently waiting for their deep carry pocket clip).

I think the micarta handle is gorgeous, but I wonder about the Persian-esk blade shape. As someone already mentioned, not very friendly looking for the office or any metropolitan setting.

Wish they incorporated a minimal but highly effective flipper tab like the Belone, but their videos shows one handed nail-nick opening is still possible.

Definitely like the green canvas model. Catches my eye, but green canvas always does.

They both have.a look that I like, just not $300+!!!!

I appreciate the design, but it's just not for me this time around. I love the Sonoma, and it gives me all the good I see in this one without the nail nick part, which I can't stand. And that tip just looks delicate to me. Love the thin grind behind the edge and that sharpening choil, though.

The other thing I don't care for is the inlay pattern with the circle milled into it. Kinda weird how the clip side has GM logo etched into it, but not the show side.

Since they killed the exclusivity of their own line, by remaking GM models under ACE branding at a lower price point (albeit with some minor differences), I haven't even looked at them.

Dammit they were still there an hour after the drop and so I ended up buying one anyway. I was counting on the drop time being my gym hour to protect me from this situation!

Honestly I wish it were a flipper, but I got a GMP7 anyway. We'll see if I like it. I've been wanting a flipper Navaja-type knife for a while. Was hoping Reate or someone would make a van Poppel Navaja flipper as a high-quality production piece.
