It looks like those cavemen will soon be getting their own TV sitcom.

I am going to hold out for the Capital One Pillagers. Although, that may be way too similar to watching our Capitol in action on C-SPAN.

I see something useful here! I have had literally several thousand bright (and some not so bright) eager kids learn a variety of material both facinating and disgusting....some downright horrifying....like there are 10 to the 18th power Insects crawling, hopping and flying in and on the earth at any given moment.....but these same kids absolutely choke when you try to teach them about several species of men, some evolutionary dead ends, but living, loving, fighting, sleeping, and competing for existance with our ancestors. I'm of the opinion that after watching 'cavemen' on TV for a while, the concept may be easier to teach.

WTF did he say?

Never mind the cavemen...

"One Million Years B.C.
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

One Million Years B.C. is a 1966 (released in the U.S. in 1967) adventure film and fantasy film starring Raquel Welch set - loosely - in the time of cavemen. The film was made by Great Britain's Hammer Film Productions, and was a remake of the 1940 Hollywood film One Million B.C.. It is marketed with the tagline "Travel back through time and space to the edge of man's beginnings... discover a savage world whose only law was lust!"

Should've pulled a 'Fox'...making fire, catching dinner, finding/making shelter, creating proto-culture, cave painting...Are you as smart as a Caveman?

I'm O.K. with all but creating proto culture. Creating little hominids is much more fun. Spent two hours this afternoon holding my new grandson.

The Geico Cavemen commercials are the best ad campaign since . . . the Geico Gecko!

Congrats Jurassicnarc44! Creating little hominids would be the most fun part of the show :)

I love the Geico caveman ads. However, how this is actually going to work? I mean, the idea of an unfrozen caveman is a basic one seen in every form of media from Scooby Doo to Brenden Fraser's "Encino Man". However, I love the idea of a highly cultured, and dare I say "metro", caveman sort of turning the cliche' on its ear. One thing that I think that they are going to HAVE to do, is play it straight. No corny "Be careful, Caveman! Fire is HOT!" que laugh track. Shoot it just like the commercials with sort of that documented "day in the life" style camera work like they do on The Office.

That said, I gave Geico a look for my motorcycle insurance...HOLY COW!:D Very nice price! A little chronology of what I have paid for bike insurance. At 22 in 2003 I bought my bike (a small Harley Sportster) with a perfect driving record and got a "deal" from our family/business State Farm agent for $1200 a year:eek::rolleyes: Did that for a year, and at 23 I got a quote from Progressive for $597.00:D. One more year later, at 24 I was married and a home owner. Got it for 498.00:D:D. Fast forward to yesterday, I filled out a rather lengthy (but very easy) form at geico.com. I was able to get FULL coverage for $297 a year:eek: :D ! I have a lein on my bike, and I even called my banker to make sure that the insurance was good enough for them to accept it. It all checked out, and I bought it. I'd give them a look if any of you need some bike insurance:thumbup:

Yes! I wondered if anyone was gonna mention him!

His theme song was second only to Lothar of the Hill People's for lack of creativity though.

Almost documentary ... Quest for Fire (La Guerre du feu).

I hear Ron Perlman played himself in that one!

Oh, and the young Cro-magnon gal that falls in love with Everett McGill's character? She's Rae Dawn Chong, daughter of Tommy Chong of Cheech and Chong fame.

The cavemen on Geico don't look much different than many folks I see walking around in town around here or indeed many of the members at this site.:D
