Hey guys, my coworker's birthday is coming up, and he's kinda like my knife comrade so I figured I'd get him a good user blade for work so he won't have to worry about using/losing his expensive knives. He's a big fan of Benchmade, so I started off by looking for a Benchmite but couldn't find one. I'm also considering the Boker Nano, the Boker Subcom, the spearpoint Micro Recon, Spyderco Ambitious, Ontario RAT 2, and the Kershaw Skyline. I'm looking for input on how these perform by comparison, since many of you seem to have at least a couple of these. The only AUS8 I've dealt with was a CRKT M16, and it was awful. As always, thanks for the advice.

Try the Buck Vantage line also. You have some room to decide steel type and pricing. Solid knife, I have had one given to me as a gift, then I ordered another.

Spyderco Tenacious
Case Mini Trapper
Leatherman Wave (this thing is quite tough)
Mercator K55K
