Gift for friend - which one?

Hey folks...bought both a Kershaw Whirlwind and SOG Flash II for a buddy for Christmas...both were bought for about the same price (I think about a $4 difference), so which one should I give him? Which is the "better" knife?

Perhaps drop some hints to your buddy and figure out what he/she would think is "better". I predict you will get mixed opinions here as to which one is "better" as many of us hold our own opinions/prejudices/preferences.

If I were your friend I would love you much more if you gave me the SOG. The Kershaw is cool, and Kershaw makes a great knife, but I think the SOG looks even cooler! I think if you give it to him and he doesn't seem too happy maybe mention you have another that he might like more.

Both OK, but my vote is the SOG.


Leave the serrations to the Flash Rescue and go plain edge. Just my opinion though.

Kershaw hands down, Sog folders are hit or miss.
