Gift for my brother

I feel weird posting this in the same place as so many talented makers but this is the first knife that i have done that turned out well. This knife is going to my brother (an over the road welder) as a gift for his birthday. This knife would be considered very rough compared to what many of you are capable of, but my brother won't care (his idea of a knife is the cheapest one he could find at sears). There is a few firsts for me in this knife, my first bolster and my first (decent) sheath.

The steel came from an old sawblade off my grandparents farm, from what i was told it was 1080 +nickle, so i heat treated it like 1084 and tempered it at 385 for an hour and a half. The burl bolsters came from wood that was going to be burned in my woodstove (i dont know the what kind it is), the back of the handle is walnut that sat in the same shed as long (or longer) than the sawblade the steel was made out of, the pins are 1/8 inch nickel silver.

Thanks for looking. Any input is appreciated.

I really like the wood choices, and actually don't mind the grind marks on the bevel since they fit with the rough pitted finish on the flats. The only thing I would suggest if it were me is a bit less finder groove depth at the front, and possibly a shot of CA glue in that void on the bolster just to avoid future cracking issues. Overall I like it. I'm sure your brother will love it and be very proud to carry it with him.
