I've had this generic "kit" blade laying around for months. Dont remember which site I got it from. It must be a common pattern, because I have seen the same blade flouted on a couple of "handmade by me with my blood for a quench, hand rubbed with unicorn tears" knifemaker websites. One guy was charging $600 for an unmodified version of this blade (Commando Spearpoint I think, from knifekits) with a Dymondwood handle, that he claimed was some sorta uber rare dragonwood or some damn thing.
A cousin I don't care much for is getting married, so I figured this iffy blade would be great for a guy that always manages to shoot a world class mulie or elk every year, without owning any guns, or any pictures of said trophies. Anyway, slapped some 3/8 black/orange g10 on it, modified the tang shape, and royally screwed up the acid etch on the blade. I still have to do the finish sanding and make a sheath, but here it is unfinished.
