hello all.

i just recently got a digicam, so i'm still in the honeymoon stage of posting pics, it's pretty exciting. mods, please leave this thread here in this forum, it's got the most traffic, gracias.

anyway, here are some shots of a 8" D2 Brend Model 2 i drooled all over before i gave it to my dad for his 70th birthday. for those who have not handled this knife, there is no way i can possibly capture how utterly breathtaking it is in hand, in terms of fit, finish, & intangible "wowness". it's pictured next to his 1970-ish Randall Model 1, which is a classically wonderful knife in its own right.. enjoy the pics, any comments are certainly welcome.

without further ado,

Ok Alan, you owe me a new keyboard!

BECAUSE I JUST DROOLED ALL OVER MY OLD ONE!

lol, thanks for the replies DR & AYB, it's my solemn duty to spread the drool throughout cyberspace.

i'll have to take a couple of spine & belly shots of the brend, because the tang of the knife is exposed & flush with the entire shape of the handle, & brend seamlessly coalesces (or amalgamates, choose your fave term for this) the tang into the hilt, which is perfectly radiused from the handle. i'll be back, this is important stuff, heh.
