A couple weeks ago I received an email from one of our Traditionalists, TLARbb (Ed). He asked me a few specific questions about what kind of knife I would prefer, saying he would be sending me something shortly. I'm not sure why he singled me out for this honor (maybe he does it all the time!) but I'm very grateful that he did. Thank you Ed, really, thank you!

This little beauty is what arrived. Gerber Silver Knight in Black Lip Pearl, 3-5/8" OAL.

This is very special to me, as I carried a very similar knife throughout the '80s and into the '90s before I lost it. I carried it Thanksgiving day, and will continue to carry it for some time to come. Our regulars here in Traditional are a very giving and caring bunch, and I'm grateful to have found BFC.

Thanks again, Ed, and enjoy your holiday weekend. I know I will!

Awesome, and I can tell you that it feels great to recieve something like this!!, not only the knife which is fantastic, but the thought is just as special...if not more so!
Ed is a top bloke, and although I admit to being very slack on the communication side of things with my friends on the forum here...Im glad Ed is on my list.
Im thinking we all know why you recieved this...its always great to read what you have to say, and Im sure Im not the only one who reads your posts with great interest!
well done, and I hope you enjoy your knife!
Have a great weekend!! :D

Humanity is alive & well in the Traditional forums. TLARbb & black mamba, there has to be a reason someone so kind would gift someone who they thought was as deserving as well. Kudos to you both, this Thanksgiving will be remembered for years to come by both of you. Great gesture.
Be safe.

No real surprise here, (which is to say just how special this community is)...

Jeff, I had a great Thanksgiving and it's still giving. Had a fabulous fried turkey samich a bit ago. I love leftover turkey for sandwiches. And there's a lot of ham and other stuff left to eat.

Anyway, look at the quote and you will know why you got it.

I suspected as much, Ed, but had no way of knowing whether you read my previous post about my long carried Gerber or not.

Many thanks to you and all the other members who posted nice comments.
