I took my father pheasant hunting today and he presented me with this Case knife. Wow! Well you have to know my father. In the 38 years of my existence this is the third thing he has given me. Usually he'll sell it to me or trade me-always fair though. I did make him a trade for another knife which I'll post later. So kind of cool. The main blade needs work but still I'm tickled.

Congrats, straighten the blade out and show it off to him and brag about how proud of it you are. < that would certainly make my day.
 
Sounds like my father. He always felt you appreciate something more if you pay for it or work for it. I bought his 30-06 from him years ago and still have it to this day. It's a good lesson that I pass on to my kids.
 
Nice gift! The color of the bone is great looking to me... :) Jackknives are always great in general.
 
Sweet! My Dad has given me a few knives and some guns and I always try to pay him something or trade but he says no. It defeats the purpose of giving he says. I now pass some on to my kids and know what he means.
 
I have made some plans to send it out to a member for clean up tighten whatever. I will treat this one a little more special. So I put 20 bucks into a 20 dollar knife. Then it will be used with pride

Sent this off to forum member Seals for a sharpen and clean up. He did an outstanding job! Can't believe its the same knife.
