Can someone post links to an Everest Katana review? How is the blade attached to the handle? rat tail type secured at the end or pegs like traditional katanas? Got any close up pics?

Thanks!

Yes - they are through-tang (I hate "rat" tail to describe it as these tangs are freaking massive) and peened at the buttcap. Refer to this thread for pictures: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=382619

"18", 29oz UBE by Lok kami, $90". Email sent. Thanks for the deals Kami. Hope Yangdu and yourself are having a wonderful time together.

amflud, it is good to have you come out of the shadows. You've picked up a very nice khukuri in the ASTK. A sturdy, all around good blade that does good chopping. With a dhar wood handle too-very nice indeed. Congratulations on your first HI. Let us know what you think and Welcome Aboard.

Welcome Aboard also to you, geargeek. The Ang Khola has been the starter blade for many of the forumites, past and present. I'm sure you'll enjoy yours as much as everyone else has. Also, if you are so inclined, please let us know your thoughts on your new khukuri.

A quick reminder for you both: if you haven't read the Safety sticky, then please do.

Thanks for the welcome, Rick! I couldn't find any info on the ASTK, but I really like the appearance of that one. If someone can point me in the right direction so I can school myself on that fine blade I would greatly appreciate it.

The Safety Sticky is very informative, thank you!

UBE's are another favorite of mine... I thought I would let the rest of ya'll have a chance today and Super Shark Warthog took a holiday.

I hope you are all having a wonderful Memorial Day.

Pala is really getting in the tan time, looking really healthy and hale!

Thanks for the links guys, great reading and pics. I just saw the selling price in one of the links. Looks like I got a GREAT deal! So stoked!

A warm Welcome to To the newcomers!
Sorry i have been so busy with other things this weekend.

Thank you for the good help, Rick! and killa!
