As always, I tell my wife not to get me anything for Christmas, but I know she will. Its different getting something from my son (he's 10).. He really puts a lot of thought into it and gets a lot of enjoyment doing it to..

So this morning we were opening presents and there was a small one from my son. I was very surprised to open it and find a vintage Uncle Henry 885..
Mint condition, with all the original papers and in the hinged box. :D
Definetely the nicest UH in my collection. I really like the backsprings with the filework(?)... He had help from the wife, but he knew I really like these knives, and wanted to make sure it came from him..
I was going to take pictures, but our camera decided not to work today.
Of all the days for that to happen.

Have a great holiday

Congrats on a great gift. They don't get much better!

You will cherish that knife over all the others throughout the rest of your life! What a wonderful gift from your son!

That sounds like a fine knife from a fine boy! My boys gave me a case tiny toothpick a couple of years ago which has "father " on the blade. I wouldn't care if my entire collections came up missing as long as I could keep that one knife.
