Hi Guys,
Here are a few quick pics of my Christmas gift this year. My wife had my good friend and neighbor, fellow knifemaker, and Bladeforums member Lamont Coombs Jr. make this for me. I'm very, very surprised and happy as you can imagine! I thought I'd show it to you all here on his behalf. He does outstanding work to say the least. Check out more of his work here: www.coombshandmade.com
The double edged recurve blade is 4" long, and is 1/8" ATS 34. The grip is Desert Ironwood with both mosiac and stainless steel pins. The knife has a skull crusher pommel, line cutter, thumb ramp, tapered tang, and a file worked spine. The sheath is also from Lamont. The three chevrons represent my rank (E-6) at the time of my discharge from the Navy. My wife's and daughters' names are etched into the ricasso on the right side. Sorry for the less than perfect pics. I'm at work, and just took a few quick shots in the break room while on our dinner break.
Thanks for looking.
