Today is my birthday and there has been a package on the counter for about a month, from Derrick ( Okbohn ) of KSF I have been trying to figure out what my wife bought? The wait is over....

GEC Northfield #68 White Owl in Autumn Gold, I've admired ever since Sarah posted hers, now for the pictures.

Nice knife for EDC, it looks like something you might find in the early 1900's, I wonder if Dwight D. Eisenhower would have picked the Case #63 or if had the option carried the #68

My girls treat me well, they have gifted my a Case Chestnut peanut for Christmas 2011, Northfield #62 spring green for Father's Day 2012, Case Damascus stag peanut for Christmas 2012, and now the White Owl.

Thanks for looking
Pete

i am happy for you! how are you liking the bail?

I like bails on knives I'm around water a lot and when I was working, worked in dark places, or up where I could loose a knife, plus my first knife had a bail ( which I was gifted 35 years ago with my first fishing rod ) I need to make a leash for this guy before I go fishing.

Happy Birthday Pete! Enjoy that great looking White Owl. The women in your life are sure treating you well!

Peter

The owl finds another victim. :)

Beautiful knife Stitch and I hope you enjoy yours as much as I have mine. I wouldn't trade mine for anything.

Will

Thanks Jeff & Peter, I'm very lucky, the peanut I carry everyday was the first gift from my daughter at less than a month old that's the knife I cherish the most

Thanks Will, I can see why you like it so much.

Pete

Tremendous!

A thing of beauty is a joy forever.... Useful beauty is an especially welcome combination. :)

If you keep up your goal of carrying what your women give you, you're going to need more pockets-- and some suspenders.

Now, about that lamp(!).

:D

Happy Birthday Pete, that's a sweet White Owl.
I have the feeling you'll like this one, considering what you usually carry.
Wife & Daughter, hmm? I might have to get me some of those one day, it seems to pay off ;) :D

Happy Birthday Pete :very_drunk: :triumphant: :)

Celebrate your day, my friend!

A nice knife you got from your wife & daughter. Congratz on your wife, your daughter and the nice ne addition to your collection.

Very nice knife,Pete!

It does look like something old timey from an earlier era. Maybe it's the shackle thing? I could see that in a pocket of Charles Lindberg taking off from New York, or Admiral Bird on an exploration.

And happy birthday, may you have the next year as well as you did this year.

Carl.

That's a wonderful gift, it looks awesome!

Beautiful knife!

Happy birthday my friend. As an elderly friend of mine (who has since passed on) used to say every year when she called on my birthday, may you have many happy returns of the day!

Happy birthday, Pete! I have one just like it, and I can say they are really one of GEC's most classic looking knives, I think.

Now that is one fine b-day present!! Its gorgeous!. Your wife and daughter sure do have great taste!! Happy Birthday, Pete!!

Happy Birthday!

That's a great knife. The closest my wife would ever come to buying me a knife is to tell me that I don't need another one.

A lovely gift from some very special women!

Thanks for the pictures and congratulations!

best
