Gift Griptilian - H20 or BK1?

I am getting ready to purchase a Griptilian for my Father for a milestone birthday and would like to get it engraved with a scripture verse (Proverbs 20:7). He gave me a Kershaw Blur Glassbreaker as a gift to celebrate the birth of my son a few years ago with Matthew 3:17 engraved on it and I think this will be a fitting reciprocation of that meaningful gift. The Blur I have is DLC coated and the engraving looks great and stands out from the blade.

My question is whether I should get the Griptilian in the BK1 coating (black) or the H20 version which is corrosion resistant shiny steel. The vendor (one of the sponsors here ) offers free engraving and the price difference is negligible. The handle color will be orange of that favors into your suggestions.

This will likely just see normal EDC use up through handy man chores but probably not serious hard use. I'm not particularly concerned about corrosion given the likely duties it will serve. The trade off seems to he that the engraving will look better with the black but the silver might stay looking better over the long haul.

Thanks in advance for everyone's input.

To expand a bit, do you generally like black / colored coatings over the long term or wish you had bought one in uncoated steel?

Honestly I'd get a Ritter Grip. It both looks AND performs better than a regular Grip IMO.
The BK1 coating will really wear away if it is going to be a daily user (especially on cardboard).

I looked at the Ritter but I'm not sure than an extra $30 is going to fly with SWMBO.

I found another thread that discussed coatings and the general consensus was against them.

Does anyone have pictures of plain steel with laser engraving on it?

Went ahead and ordered the H2O. Will post pics when it arrives. I continue to be impressed with Knifeworks customer service. They answered all of my questions and even sent me a mockup.
